The EVA-8 is a semi-automatic shotgun featured in Titanfall. It holds 6 Rounds per magazine of what is assumed to be a regular non-explosive shotgun shell.
Real Life Counterpart
The EVA-8 appears to be inspired by the QBS-09 and Fostech Origin-12 shotguns.
The EVA-8 is most effective when used in closed combat situations where it is capable of downing an enemy Pilots with 1-2 shots. When using the EVA-8 players should stay away from open environments or areas with long sight lines. The EVA-8 can be used at distance in a pinch, but the damage fall off and small magazine size makes this approach impractical.
Note that aiming with sights has no effect on pellet spread, coupled with the weapon's limited effectiveness at range, it may be advisable to simple use hip-fire at all times.
Iron Sights: Offers the lowest magnification of optics. Because pilots will be hip-firing with this weapon most of the time, there are no other optical options availble for the EVA-8.
High Capacity Ammo Drum: This modification boosts the ammo capacity of the EVA-8 from 6 rounds to 9. while only a small increase, it is more than enough for the purpose that the shotgun is used for.
Suppressor: The suppressor helps keep pilots off radar but comes at the cost of increased damage. With the Suppressor attached, pilots using the EVA-8 will still be able to kill enemy pilots with 1 shot, but the enemy pilots will have to be very, very close.
Leadwall: Increases the pellet spread of the weapon. This mod allows for the shotgun to be fired in a crowd and has an increased chance of hitting something. While this can be good for helping to kill enemy pilots one-on-one, it will not be as effective when fired into a crowd.
|High-Capacity Drum||Increased magazine capacity.|
|Suppressor||Reduces noise and muzzle flash.|
