Titans are the main battle-horses of Titanfall. Titans are massive hulking mechanical beasts, highly equipped with various tactical systems and heavy weaponry.
Summary[ | ]
Titans are the primary form of heavy warfare in the world of Titanfall. The Pilots do not really control them like robots, instead, titans serve as natural extensions of the pilot's body. Measuring about twenty feet tall, they are surprisingly agile with the ability to both sprint and sidestep. Wielding a wide range of weapons, Titans can also use melee to damage enemy Titans and rip pilots out of opposing Titans. Titans are constructed at the beginning of a match, and after a two minute wait, are usable by any nearby friendly units. After receiving enough damage to near destruction, the pilot can trigger an ejection system to make a last ditch effort. Titans are also equipped with radar locking equipment, which locks onto enemy titans. Titans come outfitted with the Vortex Shield, which allows them to stop most projectiles from damaging them, by holding them in stasis. Loadouts for Titans may also include Electric Smoke which briefly hides you from enemy sight and radar upon use. Titans are also able to trample and kill pilots and AI simply by running them over. There are three different types of Titan, With the Ogre being the slow-moving tank, the Stryder being the fast but fragile one, and the Atlas being the most balanced one.
