Viper is a boss in Titanfall 2 campaign.
Summary[ | ]
This boss has been seen in various promotional media, including the FunCo product line and various promotional videos and interviews by the Respawn staff.
Viper is a modified Northstar class titan. His weapon is a railgun and a deadly barrage of lock-on missiles able to take down the shields in one volley. Unlike the normal Northstar titan, he can fly at an exceptional speed and has a much higher firepower.
Abilities[ | ]
His abilities are very similar to the ones of the Titan known as Northstar. Not much to be said, but he is hard to beat with certain Titans. (Like Scorch or Ronin.) In the first stage, he is on the ship most of the time, making him vulnerable to those two titans. In his second stage, he uses an infinite version of the Flight Core. This nullifies those two titans, and any close range abilities. He uses the fact that there is no cover to his advantage, and will try and flank you into submission.
Tips and Strategy[ | ]
Use the Northstar as the railgun has deadly precision and can deal massive amounts of damage to him whilst in midair.
Hide behind the panels when Viper fires his missiles to negate most of the damage.
When you kill the two smaller titans, you will get a checkpoint. So make sure that you have a lot of health before dealing the killing blow.
Viper will spend the majority of the battle in the air, so titan loadouts like Scorch (Area Denial) and Ronin (Melee) will be ineffective against him.
Titan loadouts which can lock on with rockets may be helpful if you have trouble with aiming.
The three main loadouts that would be recommended are Tone, Ion, or Expedition while he is in the air.
